ABOUT OUR CHOIR
We rehearse on Tuesday nights and currently have vacancies for new members in all sections. We especially welcome men interested in giving singing a go – we always need more tenors and basses.
There is no entry requirement other than wanting to sing and willingness to learn to read parts. Experienced choristers are of course also very welcome to join the core of our choir, and contribute to the high quality of our performances. You can come along and join in a Tuesday rehearsal any time, or join up, by emailing Derek Skues on skues.derek@gmail.com .
MEMBERSHIP
Term 1 is an ideal time to consider joining Vocally Wild. We'll be learning fresh songs for 2026, so you can start at the very beginning. We provide new members with copies of all music and access to the piano recordings of all parts. We also have experienced buddies available in each section to help you settle in. And the best bit is you get the chance to prepare for our exciting events and performances for the year, for example: the Beaumaris ANZAC Parade and Service, our annual mid year Concert, our regular Christmas performances, including the iconic Bayside Carols with fireworks with a crowd of over 20,000 (usually the 2nd Tuesday in Dec), and our own Vocally Wild Community Carols Concert and Singalong at the Beaumaris Hall in late December. We have also committed to a group from choir attending the wonderful annual Festival of Voices in Hobart (in early July).
