Who is Vocally Wild?
Vocally Wild is a long-standing and successful mixed community choir in Melbourne's Bayside area. We are well known for partnering locally with the Mosaic choir and the Southern Area Concert Band for the annual Bayside Carols in Dendy Park.
Our exciting choir aims to encourage a love of music and provide a happy and supportive place where all can experience the joy of singing. We usually have 70-80 members, and are very proud of our grand piano and our outstanding musical direction and accompaniment. Our Winter Concert in August showcases the breadth of the music we sing.
Vocally Wild is an SATB choir, so for most songs we learn and sing in parts for sopranos, altos, tenors and basses, and music is provided. The choir also provides members with audio recordings of all parts for all songs to make practice at home easy.
We rehearse on Tuesday nights and currently have vacancies in 2024 for new members in all sections. There is no entry requirement other than wanting to sing and willingness to learn to read parts. Experienced choristers are of course also very welcome to join the core of our choir, and contribute to the high quality of our performances. You can come along and join in a Tuesday rehearsal any time, or join up, by emailing Derek Skues on email@example.com .
